For those of us who prefer solo work over group projects, sometimes asking for help feels wrong. If it's our responsibility, our task, we should be able to complete it by ourselves. No help from the outside.
But as you lead more people, become responsible for more things, and need to focus more on the long term strategy than the daily grind, you must offload some of the work.
Find people to trust, make sure they understand what you expect, and then let it go. If you're only focused on the daily checklist, over time the ability to cast vision will fade to nothing.
