Compromise & Character

Once an event or project is in the final stages, quick decisions must be made. Things need to happen in hours, not days, and “ideals” may need to be replaced with “possibilities.”

It’s never easy to settle for something less than the vision in your mind, but renting out a football stadium can’t happen overnight. In those times of compromise, a person’s true character will be revealed.

Once you are told, “no” or “that won’t be possible,” you can choose how to react. Either you roll with the punches, understand the limitations of time and ability, and appreciate what is accomplished, or you can rail against others, point fingers, and heap blame. These latter options accomplish nothing, and will make others less likely to help you in the future.
