Inevitably, someone on your team is going to drop the ball. It may be a small offense, or something critical. Either way, how you react to the problem is the only thing under your control.
If the dropped ball can be fixed, you do everything you can to correct the situation. That may require help from other departments, long hours, and tedious labor, but you must do everything possible to fix it.
If the situation is truly unchangeable, you must instruct the person who made the error, and then move on. Getting angry, “chewing someone out”, and similar activities may release some stress, but they are not productive. You must learn to let it go after the issue has been addressed.
