Finding Your Purpose

“What are you gifted and called to do the rest of your life?” This question has haunted me for many years. The quest to find that one thing you were destined to do with your life.

Anxiousness compounds as you get older too. The longer you go not knowing what you’re called to do, the more time is wasted not training or working towards becoming skilled in that area. It can be a vicious cycle, and one that leaves you unfulfilled in any job you work.

The fact is, you may have more than one purpose, and a different calling for every season of your life. It’s a glamorous idea that you’ll work one occupation, one skill your entire life and become a world-renown expert, but that’s not always the case. The negative sounding term, “jack-of-all-trades” doesn’t have to be a curse. You may learn new skills throughout your life, become really good in the season they are required, and move on to the next.
