Invest in People

When you do your work, take pride in it. Do it with excellence so it can represent you well. But more importantly, when you have the opportunity to work with clients, work hard not just for the end product, but for the person it will affect.

A client will seek you out in the future if you do amazing work. People can recognize quality to a certain extent, and if you can deliver quality they will pay. But people will go out of their way to work with you when they feel valued.

Do great work for people, not the acclaim. A lifetime of work achievements is nice to brag about, but a lifetime of people who appreciate you because of how you made them feel is priceless. It may not always be glamorous or even lucrative, but do good work for people and fulfillment will be close behind.
