You will only face obstacles when you're moving forward. Being content where you are and not taking risks will, for the most part, ensure you won't face much opposition.

When you start something new, try something different, take a side, then you will see the walls quickly approaching. The walls may be your own self-doubt (the troll), it could be the jealousy of others, or people outright yelling that you don't know what you're talking about.

Some criticism may have truth to it; that kind always hurts the most. So you learn from it, change something, and try again.  But a majority of the opposition will be unfounded. People love to hate, argue and knock others down. Especially if what you're doing is on the internet.

Don't let the walls intimidate and stop you. Some walls will be higher than others. Some will take longer to climb, and you may even need a little help getting over, but none of them have to be the end. In the words of Taylor Swift:

Haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate.
