Spend Energy Wisely

There are a finite number of hours in each day, and you can only type so fast and talk so long in each one. Chances are you have a mound of tasks, both due immediately, in the near future, and those that are far off (and approaching quickly).

Not only must you set priorities to ensure that mission critical details are covered, but there are also times you must leave a task before it meets your desired level of quality. Whether you are a creative or perfectionist, there will also be a nagging feeling to improve and revise even more

You must balance the desire to revise and perfect with the tasks needing completion on any given day. Limit the amount of energy spent on revisions when the mountain of tasks gets out of control. When your team is ahead on immediate tasks, then you can spend more time on perfecting. It is a constant dance.
