Stand Out

Unless you hold some Olympic level skill or can claim to be bona fide famous, it probably seems impossible to outshine the crowd. Whatever your occupation or work skill may be, there are probably thousands of others doing a similar if not the exact same job as you.

If you want to be the more desirable worker, there are a few options. Strive to learn everything there is to know about your field, further your education, and try to be the best. This strategy may work, but there will always be someone slightly better than you.

Rather than try to be the best at something, like the best video producer, the best sales person, or the best fill in your job here,  diversify your qualities. Become the most trustworthy salesman in town. Be the most helpful retail associate. Be the most reliable photographer.  Then you can be one-of-a-kind.
