Stop Interrupting

I sat through a marketing pitch yesterday for almost two hours. Whenever we would try to explain about our company or vision, the CEO would interrupt us to explain their expertise in Facebook. 

When you're making a pitch or trying to win over a new client, the best way to learn about their needs is listen. Don't brag about your skills and experience until you understand how it applies to your prospect. 

The best marketing people will care about learning your company's culture first before pitching their "skills."  Also, if someone says "social media" more than 15 times in their marketing presentation, move along.
