Some people thrive in a structured and organized environment. Predictability and preparedness are comforts to them, while last-minute changes and extravagant ideas can cause tension. A place for everything, and everything in its place.
There also exist the opposite personality type. Boxes and procedures stifle their creativity. Having to plan every detail weeks in advance seems claustrophobic and cumbersome. They need to be free to change their mind on a whim and dream impossible goals.
A organization needs both kinds of people. Those who have the big ideas, the wild and ridiculous suggestions, and the structured person to reign it in and figure out how to execute it. There is always a tension between structure and excited creativity, but the two must balance each other out for progress to be made.
