When Success Holds You Back

Everyone enjoys being successful. Months of hard work finally coming together and the final product being better than you could have hoped. It's fulfilling, satisfying, and dangerous.

Whether it's a product, event, or marketing campaign, success can trick us into thinking all we have to do is repeat the same steps and we'll achieve something great again. Maybe you will, but eventually the same input will stop outputting success.

Resting on your laurels will stifle creativity and innovation. Companies that keep repeating the same "successful" formula become stagnant and lose their edge. Success is good and means you have a team capable of positive outcomes, but don't let one success be your only success. No one likes a re-run.
